An open and insightful study of women, gender and sexuality and today’s relevant issues.

Students who major in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality explore the diversity of women’s experiences, contributions in the past and the changing roles of men and women in today’s society. Students become equipped with skills for engaging in an increasingly diverse world.

MICHELINA FERRARA ’12

Michelina, a women’s studies major is the deputy director of a holistic drop-in space for immigrant and undocumented youths in New York City. When she is not dreaming up radical youth programming, she is co-creating and curating The Homegirl Box, a gift box inspired by the life and legacy of revolutionary women of color.

Alicia Suarez, Ph.D., Indiana University. Recipient of the John Clark Ridpath Faculty Fellowship, George and Virginia Crane Exemplary Teaching Award and a Student-Faculty Summer Research Grant. Her research interests are medical sociology, sociology of deviance and women’s health.
